Human Rights Social Justice Fund
The fund will finance a portion of the legal fees for People of Color who experience blatant acts of physical and/or emotional abuse, hatred and injustice in the city of Pittsburgh, PA.
1. To help recipients offset a portion of the costs associated with legal fees.
2. To highlight injustices that happen to People of Color in an effort to initiate positive change.
3. To reduce the mental and emotional burdens associated with paying for adequate legal representation.
Who We Are
Julius Boatwright is the Founder & CEO of Steel Smiling and Executive Director with the Will Allen Foundation. He serves as a Board and Development Committee Member with the Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. Julius also volunteers for Pitt's Young Alumni Advisory Team.
He's a Licensed Master Social Worker who's certified in Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Behavioral Health. Julius also completed a Trauma-Informed Community Practice Workshop with Duquesne University through their Department of Psychology and Rita McGinley Psychology Clinic.
He's received the following acknowledgements:

Julius obtained his Master of Social Work degree with a Certificate in Human Services Management from the University of Pittsburgh. He attained a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Pitt.
