CREATING SUCCESS

MOBILE LEARNING LAB

Coming soon to a

neighborhood near you!

Families, youth of all ages, and adults will have access to computer skills training, workforce development, coding and more, right from the parking lot of popular and accessible community locations.

OUR VISION

The mobile lab allows us to create access to high-quality educational programs for youth and adults all around the rural communities we serve. The mobile learning lab allows us to increase access to technology, access to broadband internet, and access to high-quality learning experiences to rural areas, many of which are Tier 1 communities in NC.  Our goal is to remove the barriers of transportation and access to the internet for many people in Warren, Vance, Granville, and Franklin counties by taking these programs to their communities (community centers, churches, playgrounds, etc). The mobile lab will be equipped with devices and a projector/screen.

OUR WHY

The Creating Success Mobile Learning Lab will remove barriers such as access to transportation, broadband internet access, and technology/devices by meeting people in their communities and teaching them valuable skills.

We believe that creating access and developing talent will positively influence the workforce in our region.

LAB TIMELINE

Fall 2019 - We partnered with North Carolina State University's School of Design sophomore design class to develop interior and exterior designs of the mobile learning lab.

May 2020 - The first school bus was purchased.

We are currently working with a team of volunteers to reconstruct the inside of the bus using the design plans provided by North Carolina State University's College of Design students.

Our goal is to have an operating learning lab that travels to different communities and events in rural NC in the Summer of 2021.
